Default size for training

ok i have a question about the size of people and training. currently i am a 6'2" 320lbs guard playing college football. now i know that football will one day end for me and i need to look toward the future. i have always enjoyed flying and everything that has to do with aviation. my question is how hard will it be for me to fit in a plane for training coming off of my final football season. just sort of a throw it out there question all responses are appreciated. thank you. amorris

you can definately fly. I am 6'3" and 315 and played OT in college ball. You will have to use a Cessna 172 for your training and find an average size instructor. In my opinion the 172 is a better trainer as it is a more stable platform than the 150/152.

I had no problem fitting into any cessna or piper products. Mooney's were a little tight but they aren't used for training. I have flow for the airlines and no back flying cargo. The only plane I wasn't covertable in were the Lear 20 series and the smaller Citations.

Send me a pm if need more info...

I was 6 foot 300 when I started...And I didn't play anything.

You will be fine. My CFI is a pretty big guy also, and we fly a 172 no problem.
