Could you imagine what would happen if the pilot group went to an arbiter to have the contract thrown out because thier standard of living just wasn't high enough for them? They would be laughed out of town. So why is it when the a company isn't unprofitable, mind you, just not as profitable as the shareholders and CEO's would like it, which to my mind is synonymous with the standard of living of the same, off it goes to bankruptcy court to be voted on? The double standandard is appaling and dispicable. Good on you, Delta, for not standing for it. Good on you for having the balls to fight. Whip 'em. Beat that ass like a redheaded stepchild. Punish 'em. You don't just do it for yourselves, you do it for all of us. We're proud of you, and support you. If we fight long enough, and hard enough, and talk with people who are willing to listen, maybe one day corporate America will realize that there's no cooincidence that the most successful companies in the world are the ones that treat thier employees the best. In the meantime, hurt 'em. They will gladly do the same to you. |
