Default What happens in the pax section...

I thought this article was pretty cool...it has some short "horror" stories about paxs on their flight. Anyone on JC have any of their own horror stories?

I dunno about some of those stories. And why is it that every time an airplane goes into a steep dive all the overheads pop open and the lights flicker?

Word

But, on our flight into MCO on a DL767 we had THE HARDEST landing i've experienced, and some of the overheads popped open and luggage fell.

Too many stories to list! Aborted takeoffs in a 747, rain showers in a 727, spaceship ride in a dc-8 (actually that was a fun one), travel during strikes, HI to ORD via SYD. Welcome to SA.

OK, they were horror stories then.......laugh about the experiences now.

The only recent horror stories I have was at dinner tonight -- we went out for some Thai food. Some couple brought in their kid and a portable DVD player. They played some "Spongebob Squarepants" video during dinner.

There were a lot of pissed people on the other side of the restaraunt.

Now that restaurant smoking has been successfully banned in some states, we need to work on getting a "with kids" section, hopefully on the other side of a soundproof wall.

Ain't that the truth. I have no problem with kids, but I do have a problem with parents who let kids run amuck. I was at a restaurant where the kids thought it was okay to kick a soccer ball around, and when it hit me, I put it in my lap and said you're not getting this back. The parents finally noticed and said, oh, they're just being kids, and I said, well, take them outside, I'm trying to eat, and they're not getting this back.

They looked at me like I was from Mars, and the husband said something racial. I just about whipped the soccer ball at his head and replied, well, that shows me what kind of lowlife you are and why your kids are such ######ups. It shut him up.

WTF is wrong with parents who think it's cool for kids to kick soccer balls around in a restaurant?

Rumor has it that there's a restaraunt in Chicago that did this, but people caught wind of this and lost their ever loving minds.

Kids are cool, collect 'em all! But just because I think they're alright doesn't mean I want to bear witness to "WHOOOOO lives in a pineapple under a tree!!!" when I'm trying to enjoy my Panang Beef.
