Default Mesa's "new" Go! web site vs. Spirit's web site

www.spiritair.com

www.iflygo.com

Hmmmm...... somebody did some copying, eh? Looking at the whois info, it doesn't appear they have the same technical contact, but yet the pages are similar. Even the background images are named the same.

Talk about "cutting costs!" LOL. Somehow I doubt they share the same web design company...

I'd like the see the expression on the excited new hire FO when he sees what the cost of living is going to be in Hawaii.

I get a fly a shiney new jet! Woo! And live with about 25 other people in a one bedroom apartment in the basement of the county jail!

small 2br - 1 1/2 bath Apt. in Aiea (nowhere special) although I did have a view of the Arizona Memorial from my front steps.

Makes you wonder if they are going to end up displacing people already in the system. That would suck being sent from IAD to the Islands and not getting a COLA raise.

As far as the websites, I think that is a standard template for Microsoft Visual Studio. Got to say, Spirit's site looks better though.

I guess it'd be better than living in a one bedroom apartment in the basement of the county jail in SFO, LA, NY, or DC! :smirk:

I dunno, I've been watching "Dog The Bounty Hunter" and people can get a little aggro in Hawaii!

true. I've exprienced it first hand. Was pushed off my board by an angry kamina (sp?) in waikiki. but I digress...

I think the sun and beaches (and plentiful spam) would make up for it, at least for a few days.

Family had a 2 bedroom 850sqft apartment at base of Pali Hwy at Highway facing Ewa for $1400/m. We were on the 17th floor so you could see the airport. I miss the those times!

Were you in the complex that had two matching white towers? That's the only one I can think of that had 17 floors in that part of town. I lived a short distance from there, We looked at a few places there, but it was too much$$$ for the space.

No, we were in Queen Emma Gardens, 3 building, 24 stories total (if I remember correctly). You could drive from there to the UAL hanger and NOT warm a car engine up (ok it was a 1981 Buick LeSabre w/350 Diesel Engine). Ran on J4, so that was fun!

That pilot group got its COLA raise about a month ago....then MESA changed the healthcare benefits plan and it ate up everyone's raise....

GO! is just the title that their CEO settled for.....I'm sure he actually wanted JO!

Aloha and Island Air stand a really good chance of beating them like a red headed step-child...... and I doubt the locals will like it when they get told "sorry sir, you can't bring that surfboard with you.....we don't have the room...."

FYI, the Hawaii flying went senior among the MAG pilots, no new hires being sent there.

You get what you pay for as far as the marketing! The new health plan, sucks. I had a better health plan at DCA! They had to "raise" the co-pays and deductables, due to the "rising" healthcare costs. Umm, you'd figure that the a regional airline that has been profitable every quarter after 9/11 could absorb the rising costs.

Anyone notice that the GO paint scheme resembles Independence Air's? It's not a coincidence; apparently MAG is picking up some of FLYI's 200's for the operation and JO is trying to save some $ on repainting them.

Let's see if they're as "successful" as FLYi.

Oh comon! They're living the dream remember?!

I still however want to be an airline pilot...

It's hard to live in the continental states on regional pay, let alone Hawaii!!!

I don't know if airlines are my goal anymore. Maybe going to a regional for a little while to build some time would be good, but then getting a fractional/corporate job.

Yeah, we puchased a buttload of Flyi ground support equipment, aircraft parts, and maintenance shop items to ship to Hawaii for Go!

Back to the topic of the thread: Ben Baldanza is on it and the Go (Mesa) site will have to change.
