Sky Harbor Tower/TRACON tour!!!

I have a 3 page paper to write on Tower and TRACON operations for my aviation #3030 class. Part of the requirement for the paper is to actually visit a real life FAA tower/TRACON facility.

I recently got in contact with a member of PHX avaition administration at Sky Harbor the person in question was out today he is the "Special project co-ordinator." I left my name and number and he is supposed to get back to me as soon as tomorrow about setting something up.

My days off are SUN-MON so if we could get something together prolly to accomadate everyone schedule it'd be best to have it on a SUN...right? Let me know if any of you local PHX people are interested and as soon as I hear something I will keep you all informed about whats going on.

I'm sure the Mrs would be interested, but at most I only know about 45 days out of what my schedule is going to be

It would be sometime late this month or sometime early next month. The semester ends April 28th. I'll keep you and everyone involved and if no one can go with me this time (if it comes to fruitition) like Pengy did maybe we can arrange a sequel!

Okay so I got in touch with PHX tower & TRACON.They give tours freely but 3-4 max at a time at least for TRACON not sure about the tower. So it's all a matter of day and time to meet peoples schedules. I definately need to do this before mid April to have my paper written before finals. I understand that some/most of you can't go at the drop of a hat. So like I said previously we can do a 2nd tour at a later time so let me know whats up.

The only req. is that you be an american citizen so Doug you can't go cause your only 3/5 a person...

Seriously you need to be a citizen get at me.

I did the tower tour when I was out there in November. My 'tour guide' was Irwin (extremely nice guy) but he retired just about 2 months ago. They don't give tours on the weekend, btw.
