| I already have my instrument, and would like to get the single/multi commercial and my flight instructor ratings. I already have right at 250 hrs. The question is, is there any advantage for me to go to a 141 school at this point? I would figure it wouldn't be since I already have the total hours necessary for the commercial (not all the requirements, but the total flight time needed). I know there is an advantage time wise if you're starting from scratch, but wondering about my circumstance. I also posted this in the CFI thread.

| IMO, I would go part 61 because of what you already have.

| Senior Member | It depends on how the 141 program is set up. I went to UND where the instrument, commercial, and multi programs were lumped together. I was a commercial pilot at 180 hours. You can see the advantage there. The school that I teach at lumps private and instrument together and commerical/multi stuff together. It all depends on how the TCO is written. And I will have to agree with Swen, you should get the commercial/CFI stuff part 61. All you would have to do is train to proficieny and take checkrides.
