Dunno the details (nothing in the NTSB database yet), but I'll bet donuts they crashed in to that ridge on the visual for rwy 28. The first time I watched a jet (a C-650) land at TRK, I thought for sure he was gonna smack that ridge. http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...nes-california

We'll have see what comes to surface. May they be granted eternal rest and may pereptual light shine upon those who died. It is always tradgic to here things like this.

Sorry, missed that post. Very sad indeed, TRK is not a poor-wx airport by any stretch of the imagination. It's a challenge even in good weather, especially for jet operators. Two of my "I Learned About Flying From That" experiences are from that airport.
