Question South Carolina Airports

Anyone know of any good airports to visit in SC? I want to take my sister up tomorrow but don't know where to go. Any good restaurants at any of these places or a "must-see" airport for us aviation nerds?

Try Hilton Head Island (KHXD) it’s a couple hours south of Charleston

All the time... if you come by East Cooper airport (now with our fancy new identifier of KLRO) give a yell inside and see if I'm around.

No food here, but you'll find the best crosswinds this side of the Columbia

Swing by 58J - Huggins Memorial Airport, Timmonsville, SC, it is a small grass strip just south of Florence. I was down there for my Instrument rating and loved flying into the grass field.

There are plenty of airports to visit, but we need more info like how far do you want to fly and where are you starting from.
My favorite is "Stanton's BBQ" near Gibson, NC/BBP, SC. Grass strip across from the restaurant.

CRE is fun too....no so much in the winter though.

We stop in Beaufort (73J) for gas on the way to Florida normally, it's a nice little airport with a friendly staff and a crew van you're welcome to take (if you have a driver's lisence).
