Default Jetblue rocks!

I am so glad we have jetblue and other low-cost airlines
1) they drive down the cost of air fare
2) they fly great routes with service to smaller, secondary airports
3) 36 channels of directtv (no airline can compete with that)
4) friendly and attractive flight attendants
5) quick turn around times at airports
6) QAULITY service... definitely something all the legacy airlines are lacking

I am proud and optimistic of the future of low cost airlines.
I say it is about time.

Just a sidenote:

If you look at the average fares that JetBlue charges, you will see that it is not really a low cost carrier. In fact, some of their fares are higher than what legacies charge on the same route.

Also, you may be optimistic about things, but listen to the pilot group/FA group and you might see a "different" perspective (not necessarily bad, but not all roses).

The DirectTV does help, though.

Yup. Anybody want to take bets on where this thread ends up in the end? Here are your options.

-Discussion about why Airbus is better than Boeing
-PFT debate
-A discussion about FL270's Mom
-A discussion about amish chics
-Possibly why DCA sucks?
-Maybe we can talk about why pilots are a bunch of overpaid SOB's that make WAY too much money and don't work enough
-How about we discuss whether Delta pilots will strike?
-How about upgrade times for the reindeer that drive Santa's sleigh? Do they have a union? Is managment trying to screw them?
-Something equally absured that I couldn't possibly think up, and would probably require a few shots of Jaeger to think up.

I'm going for why pilots are overpaid and why we should always bend to do what managment tells us what to do. You know, because they're on the ground and are in tune with what is happening on a daily basis.

Ok, i'll bite.

2)Smaller secondary airports? Outside of Long beach, burbank, and san jose what are you talking about? JFK? FLL? SEA? BOS? LAS? DEN? LAS?

3) Frontier has it. though it does cost 5 bucks. but they do have it.

5) Umm....as a passenger what do you care about turnaround times?

Points 4 and 6, I will give ya. As far as cheaper, they do have their good deals every once in a while, but I would say they arent cheaper than any other airline.

Oh and I important point that you forgot.

.....JETBLUE EXPECTS TO TAKE A LOSS THIS QUARTER........

Hey JH let me start then. Boeing should buy Bombardier. But not Embraer because their planes suck! And Airbus planes smell better inside then Boeing planes.

ta he...

I have a rule, don't play around with the bosses daughter. No F/A's aren't the bosses daughters, but if you think they are, you will be much safer. Stay away from them. They are trouble.

Well he also has a multi-million dollar contract. If the relationship goes awry and he is terminated his severence will still be a tidey hundred of million dollars. Combined with his previous wages he will be fine. Odds are a pilot probably won't be in the same situation. Gotta agree with Omar.

Last I heard he was upgrading to captain on the 170 with CHQ, but it's been a few months since I talked with him.
