Hey Mr. Leisure757...where abouts in NH??
I did my private out of Fitchburg, MA.. my first solo to Sanford, ME and also did a few up to Laconia...beautiful part of the world!
I remember a super-clear/great visibility day w/being able to see snow on Mt. Washington, the coastline of the Cape and the Islands all the way down to Long Island, and up the Maine coast..

I live between Nashua and Keene in the Monadnock Region. I fly out of Nashua and did my first solo XC to Sanford, ME. It's not too bad of an area to live, but I'm starting to question that as I bundle up to go stack firewood!

Cool!! I miss it actually!! (hard to believe as i am in 74 degrees/clear skies weather, but I miss the seasonal changes...oh well -
I went Franklin Pierce College in Rindge..lived around New Ipswich for awhile before moving.. Monadnock was the first mountain I ever climbed, when I was 7 years old - looks great in the fall w/all the colors.
You ever fly down to KFIT?? Nice little airport -my PPL instructor is long gone so I don't know anyone there - if you do go there make sure to leave time for some great food at the airport restaurant there (Gene's)
take care --
John

John- I have some friends who go to Franklin Pierce. I know right where that is. I'm about 20 minutes North, in a village of about 1,000 people - Hancock.
I've been to FIT a few times actually, but never long enough to go to the restaurant. Fun little place, although the pattern seems to be full a lot of the time!

Hi John. Two of my bosses went to Franklin Pierce! Did Monadnock this fall with some friends, for the third consecutive year. Actually I am typing this from Nashua, and I don't like the looks of the winter coming up from this very early snowfall. Well, not that early but it seems like more than usual at this time of the season.

New Hampshire = not a place for long-term habitation.
