[ QUOTE ] What in God's name happened there? Did some dude just jump in a Helicopter? Is he ok? Where did this happen? [/ QUOTE ] Inquiring minds wanna know!!!!! Is a helicopter that easy to start? A copter of that size would lead to believe it is a little more complicated than turning the key |

[ QUOTE ] What in God's name happened there? Did some dude just jump in a Helicopter? Is he ok? Where did this happen? [/ QUOTE ] I think I actually saw a news story about that a few weeks ago. Happened in Norway I think. As far as I heard it was a sightseeing flight and the tailrotor hit some power lines. Although the news didn't show the first 30-seconds so I had no idea about his skills. Now I'm thinking cover story. Turbine helicopters are a little tricky to start, but if you've flown a turbine airplane you can do it pretty easily since the principles are the same. The main issues are with warm up and temps. My experience is only with the Bell 206 so I can't speak for all. |
