| Delta's decision to base the MD90 in SLC means I will most likely never get the chance to fly on one of those. Best of luck to you in SLC. |

| Old Skool | Congrads on the scenery change!!!! When does this become effective? What will the commute be like? Those Comair,SkyWest CRJ's prolly won't be the best to jumpseat on! -Matthew |

[/ QUOTE ] ![]() From a pax perspective I'm sure the MD-90 is no different the flying in a MD-88 only it has IFE. Now if you said that from the perspective a future pilot I might understand. -Matthew |

| Old Skool | [ QUOTE ] The -90's get into CVG and ATL and points beyond, so it's a little premature to say "never" unless you only fly two city pairs. [/ QUOTE ] True but if I follow you correctly you will be SLC based. Meaning (as your well aware) you will start and finish all trips in SLC. I was referring to your commute form PHX-SLC,SLC-PHX at the start and end of your tips. And wondering how ruff it would be to jumpseat. With most of the equipment being used outa PHX to SLC being on 50-70 seat jets. -Matthew |

| Nice, no more 3+ hour commute. And something new for the Pics from the Road section...the constant red/orange concourses at ATL can get old to look at. |

| Agent Smith | Plus, I'm going from being in the top 28% in ATL to the top 14% in SLC so better seniority. The loads aren't as bad as they used to be SLC/PHX and they've added more flights so it shouldn't be a big problem getting to SLC. The big problem was that for a 1500 sign-in in ATL, I'd have to be up at 0440, on the road by 0520 in order to be at security by 0600 for a 0700 flight arriving at almost 1400. Head spinnin' yet? But my 'commutable' trip starts go from a 1400 sign-in (ATL) down to about a 0900 or 1000 sign-in (SLC). I have fantastic seniority in ATL, but by virtue of the way I bid my trips to minimize hotel stays, I think out of 300 or so lines of time, the ones that I found that were commutable with weekends off drove that number down to about six in ATL. |

| Agent Smith | Soitn'ly! Kristie and I have some good friends moving to Park City and we're more or less going to serve as their 'adoptive family' on the west coast so we'll all have to hang out. Should we start a JC crash pad? ![]() |

[/ QUOTE ] Well again congrads.Yea that commute must have been hell. Maybe in a few years I might want to re-think living in PHX if I want to be based in the mid-west or the south. Now will you only be flying the 90 when your SLC based. Much like you were only flying the 88 in ATL. Or will you be mixing things up like you did in DFW and be flying both on certain trips. If the DL flights get harry if you have jumpseat benefits on HP and WN they both offer direct flights from PHX-SLC. |

| Moderator | [ QUOTE ] Going back to the MD-90 in Salt Lake City. No more ATL-Somewhere-ATL-Somewhere-ATL-Layover. [/ QUOTE ] Is this out of the same bid where you were trying for the 767? At least the commute should be better for you. If the SLC -90's bring you to Minneapolis, give me a ring. |

| Speaking of supplemental income, were you already awarded SLC, Chuck, or are you actually going to be here for a while? I never got to try the Red Iguana, though I hear it's awesome. Mad Greek was pretty darn good, though! |

| Old Skool | Doug, I always felt bad for yelling your name in the concourse when I met you. SInce then I've always wanted to buy you dinner. I think we should have a little get together at the Red Iguana I know Chuck is down with it. By the way, Chuck I took this girl there for our first date and now we're getting married. The Red Iguana has mystical powers and I'm not talking about powers found in your lower gut an hour after eating it. |

| Old Skool | Dooooode have fun doing the Salt Lake Nine departure on 16L/16R. Everytime I'm in SLC and there taking off to the south that departure takes my breath away. With the sharp low level right turns to 280 as soon as the gears is stowed.AWESOME! -Matthew |
