| The 765 doenst do just overwater/Hawaii unless you count going out over the Gulf of Mexico into TPA or Atlantic ocean for FLL over water. Delta does fly the 765 down to florida and out to the west coast |

I have never heard of a 767-500 series. -Matthew |

| Old Skool | [ QUOTE ] The "765" is the international 767-400 category. [/ QUOTE ] Well now that makes more sense...I think that CO flies there 767-400ER's international to europe and not just to and from there hubs to LA or HNL. -Matthew |

| Old Skool | 765 designation is sorta like the 73G designation. Neither one of them really tell ya what the plane is, you just gotta know. I woulda guess that it was a 767-500 instead of a -400, too. |

| Old Skool | Man, 73G at SWA is a 737-700. Not international, but it's got EFIS! ![]() |

| Old Skool | Yeah, I kinda figured that. Just wondering if the different airlines use different codes for the same planes (or same codes for different planes). |

| Agent Smith | Not to be a killjoy, but it makes sense. Say you have a 757/767 reserve. But he's got to cover both international and domestic flying. Most international flying starts about 4pm on the east coast and ends up in Europe at 8am. So he's got to be up early enough to be able to cover 757/767 domestic flying, but then somehow catch a nap mid day just in case he's got to stay up all night and fly to Europe. A little easier to split categories and have pilots that just do international thus staying current on Trans-Oceanic flying (folks, it aint just FMS and typing DIR/INTC CDG) and those that only do domestic and don't have to try to pre-plan getting called up at 3pm to fly all night to Europe without much warning after his rest period is up after covering a domestic trip. |
