[ QUOTE ] do they pay while in training? I ain't going if they don't. I've got strict morals and standards! [/ QUOTE ] Funny. Training to fly a Navajo part 91 = 1 week Training at an airline = 6 weeks or more Big difference. Still, they probably do. Heck, I got paid more during my training at my current freight job than I did during my training at Eagle, and it took half the time, AND Eagle is one of the best paid during training. Pretty f'in sad if you ask me. The joke's on you, you just don't know it. |

Doug - come on mate - as a recruiter you need to know everything - from what is the pay - to what year are their aircraft. Candidates are picky these days, it is not like in 2001 when if you posted this you would have got 10,000 qualified candidates with no questions at all!!

[ QUOTE ] ...and looking for a job flying a Chieftain in Florida, email me. [/ QUOTE ] I've got about 850TT in the Chieftain.......though I don't think the active duty AF would like me moonlighting right now... ![]() Still got my old abbreviated checklists, my old company weight and balance sheets, and the Chieftain dash-1. Still keep it all in my old civilian flight bag along with the D Clarks and all my other old stuff. |

In fact, I told him "In a few more years, if you promise to base it somewhere like Ajo, AZ, I could get you a pilot! As long as you don't have strict grooming requirements, don't mind grease pen on the window and don't mind the occasional parts run done at 80 feet AGL"!

MikeD - do you use the grease markers on the F117 - or does the hud kind of take care of that for you.

[/ QUOTE ] Grease pen/wet erase markers are for FACing so you can keep track of stuff in the day without messing up the kneeboard. No need for it in the 117, and would probably be frowned upon with our canopy composition. |

doubtful.. but you could always move to florida! ![]() incidently.. doug was telling me about this and it sounds really prosperous for someone who wants to skip the regional route! I was surprised at the pay cuz i was asking doug all sorts of "watch the catch" type questions! |

What amazes me is why corporate jobs have such higher requirements over airline jobs in general. I mean is airline flying really that undesirable that they need to lower their mins so much?

Most likely because the corporate types aren't chock full of customers that go "Aww hell, I don't care what the airline is, look at their super friendly fare to O'Hare!"
