Default Time building in an experimental

So I ahve been looking at building one of the Rag Wing designs but decided against it because pretty much, my building skills and patience suck. The one I liked most was the special. A single seat bi-plane. Looking around on Ebay I find one for cheap. I realize that all the time would be non instrument and that I scouldn't fly this plane into controlled airspace but it sure would be balst to fly on short trips up and down the coast. I figure I will need about 100 hours of just plain cruising around time in pursuit of the commercial. I understand all of the limitations of this design (as I looked pretty extensively into building one.) What do you guys think. Buy this plane for real cheap (insurance would be the most expensive but since I would be paying cash outright I only need liability) and fly it around for a hundrd hours or so and then sell it again. It has a rotax engine that burns maybe 6 gph max. I wouldn't bother saving money for an engine overhaul as I wouldn't plan to have it that long.

Anyways, what do you guys think? I have to get permission form the wife as well but it would be cheap timebuilding, (not to mention an absolute joy!) If ever there was a city meant for an open cockpit bi-plane it was Charleston. Eric, if you want a piece of the action let me know. I was thinking about hangering it in Georgetown. A bit of a drive but cheap hangers!

Oh yeah, don't any of you jerks take this one away from me...
