Default Caravan 208 With Retractable Gear

Check This out: Look right above the prop lever. Looks like someone wishes they made a retractable gear version.

It is just a training aid - so when people fly something with gear they do not forget it.

I think it's in test mode, I can just make out "TEST" in the lower left of the screen.

Yeah, it trains you to know that the gear handle doesn't do anything and the indicators don't mean anything. Just learn to fly the airplane, don't make it something it isn't.

Oh yeah, I see that now.

Ours all paint even lines of each different level precip in test mode. Looks like that one has vertical profiling.

Ahhh, young grasshopper. One Caravan IS a retractable.........A Caravan with amphibious floats. Notice he is also exactly at Sea level. The radar is on test mode.

Smart man. Especially noticing the altimeter at sea level.

We're not worthy man!

Ahh, but they're in Puerto Rico (and not exactly sea level), and if you look at this photo of the same aircraft (by the same photographer/company)), you will notice that it has no floats...

However, I suppose it is possible that it was converted, but I don't know whether or not that is common.

Plus, if you look at the instrument panel picture, there are only 3 green wheels down lights. The amphib would have 4! Interesting!

That particular shot has a device Sporty’s used to sell that was some weird landing gear training device. It was probably put there as a joke.
