| Dear members and fellow Aviators, I was reading one of the old posts and I stumbled upon a topic concerning foreign carriers according to the replies to the post It seems that it is extremely difficult to land a job on these foreign carrier but i went to Cathay Pacific website and saw that to get a Direct entry level position in Cathay you need to have 1000 hours on a jet and beside this information there was a picture of an American or European pilot which made me conclude that this kind of entry was meant for the pilots from another country and I have read many articles on people who were born in the U.S and are working for foreign carrier. Do you have any information on this or any comments? Thank you for always helping those in need |

He's just finished training, and heads to NRT for his first trip tomorrow. He's not actually employed by JAL, but by the company who contracts the pilots to them. |
