I just finished my first year at a Community College after my senior year in high school. I simply pursued gen eds hoping that I could transfer to another school. I already got accepted to Geneva College that offers a 4 year program in aviation/business management. I will have to go to another school for 2 years between years 2 and 3 to gain my flying hours. But the main downfall is that Geneva is very expensive...and according to a recent research I did, if I went to the community college for the first 2 years and then, went on to earn my bachelors degree in a school like Pennstate, then I can save a lot of money. I am also hoping to work as a part time CFI during the years when I will be working on my bachelors. Any ideas about this? This is a very very last minute decision and I am a little clueless about what I should do in the fall.

No one option if favored by the airline - go with the cheap option, and put the rest of the money into flight training!

A 4 yr degree is a degree is a degree. Get in, get out, get your flight hours. In the work a day world they don't ask too many questions after they know that you do have a degree. The other option is of course get it later Which is what I'm doing at the age of 37 ![]() And saving $$ is a good thing. It sounds like your head is screwed on stright.
