| My buddy just got on. He did the eagle jet thing and bought time in the Beech 99, than got hired if he had the multi time he wouldve just interviewed instead of buying time now before you bash him for paying for a job there was no other option for him to get enough multi time(wont bother to explain) he now flies the chieftan from Burbank to Vegas every day and picks up extra routes on the side. He likes AMF very much says its a top notch company and takes very good care of there equipment and the pay is better than a first year FO. He should up grade before the end of the year to either the 99 or 1900, his route is very easy 3 hrs of flying per day and gets paid for 8hrs while waiting during his stand down time in vegas he chills at his moms house, sleeping, playing X box, and eating. They are always needing pilots and he says this holiday season looks very busy and possibly short on pilots so if you qualify get your app in soon. Granted my buddy has cargo stamped on his forehead he loves it and plans to stick it out for the long run Warning grammer police I was very tired when typing this so please excuse spelling and grammer errors! |

| [ QUOTE ] and the pay is better than a first year FO. [/ QUOTE ] This statement always kills me. Granted, pay may be better the first year for almost all other jobs, but look 3+ years down the line IMO. And consider days off as well. Job security should be where people should be concerned with. I'd take a stable, less paying job over a roller-coaster regional ANY day, no matter what was in the back or what I was flying, as long as the QOL was good and I could live where I wanted to. ~wheelsup |
