Default Another TomCatter!!!!

On another forum....fs2004. Guy claiming to be an F-16 pilot. Born in 1978, but a LOT of stuff doesn't add up. Log yourselves in and look at the profile for vusaf_tbird1....and his picture with him in a ROTC flightsuit with ROTC cap pin.......

Here's some entertainment....I could use some backup if anyone's interested, since I'm a little outnumbered:

Read my last post here:

http://www.fs2004.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42927

And this thread:

http://www.fs2004.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=42951

They seemed to have shut up a bit when I put my UPT webpage along with the Perspectives article up. We'll see........

Its the internet! I've seen pics of the Olsen twins naked too, doesn't mean they are real

But I was wondering, how did you get selected to fly the goblin? I assume that you have to apply to fly it, but what is the criteria for it? Could you have selected the B-2 if you wanted? I'm definately curious to find out how you guys got lucky enough to fly these priceless killing machines

I was banned for creating a second account! Your IP is showing up on the post you made under my name, so now it looks like you and I have the same IP address which means we are the same person! Oh well, it was only a stupid flight sim forum.

That Jon guy is a liar, saying that you have the same IP as citationkid.

I was reading those two threads, and was sickened with how you are being treated Mike. Those people over there are idiots. Anyways all those guys are nerds living in a fantasy world. They all think lying is okay, since they all mostly lie about their lives.

The sad thing is that they don't even seem to care.

Impersonating an officer is a fleony, I belive. I can't stand people who pose as military or prior military.

The worst examples are the guys who claim to be prior special forces. As a general rule, anybody who comes out and tells you that they were SF is probably a poser.

If anybody claims to be a Marine when they haven't earned the right to do so, Me and Loyd will "counsel" them about the error of their ways.

I don't get flight sim junkies anyway.

These darn video games are destroying todays youth!
Seriously, who cares what they say or think. I would'nt even waste my time on those sim sites. Go fly for real and tell me that microsoft is just like the real thing. Mike D, you know you are right. We know you are right. One day they will realize that they have amounted to nothing other than a work of fiction. Now if you will excuse me I have to get back to my job of flying rich people around in the latest biz jets. Don't you wish you were me. And all that with about 95 hours....

Hey,

I'm am an active member at fs2004.com, Before I start I agree some things regarding fraud pilots have got out of hand, We arn't nerds (well most of us?) and alot of us do have some time on an aircraft..(I have about an hour on a c152 [don't laugh]).

We do have alot of younger members (Youngest being 11).

I am offended you would call me an idiot and living in a fantasy, We are normal people just like you (Well, from what I have seen, Its not much better over here anyway).

we understand that FS2004, really, Isn't like real life, With complex add-ons such as PMDG's 737NG and PSS's Busses' (MCDU, FMC, Overhead etc..) It does make it a little bit more realistic.

Flying lessons cost alot of money, of coarse I plan to take them, But I can get a little bit more entertainment with FS.

As one of you have decided to Spam the boards, obviously you can't be much better, Do you believe you are better than us, Because you have that little bit of extra money to take more flying lessons?

Some members are well, Young, Idiots, Nerds, Frauds, how you describe them, However don't just put-down all of us because of it.

When I first was interested in Aviation, I never thought there would be a bunch of screaming idiots running from one forum, to the next, shouting who is better than each other etc..

p.s Jon really isn't a liar.

Yes he is. Like Mike said, timelines do not match up.

Having said that, Welcome to the boards.

p.s. Flight simming is not even close to the real thing.

hey really we're not trying to piss you off by calling you nerds. however those of us that have put in our dues in search of our aviation goal do tend to look down on the fakes. and its quite justified, weve worked hard and hate to see others fakes using our profession to sound cool. oh and im with ya mike all the way.

Cameron - the reality is simmers come accross in a certain light, some might use other adjectives, but I will just say the majority of them lack professionalism and life experience. When discussing aviation with people who have a lot more experience, and indicating that you know what you are talking about because you have this whole gambet of information, and experience that was self taught in an unstructured environment by playing on a computer it is hardly suprising you get the reputation you do.

You also suggest it is about money, however that is hardly true. There are avenues to get involved in aviation and get flying without spending a fortune, you just have to seek them.

I posted on the FS board because I wanted to vouch for the authenticity of MikeD and Ckid. Nothing more, nothing less.

I don't know anything about the guy that MikeD is talkinig about. I looked at a couple of things that make me question the same things MikeD did.

I don't think that I am any better than anybody else. If you love playing flight sim, that's great. I find flying FS to be much harder than the real thing. Personally most pilots I know are total Geeks & Nerds who are way too intrested in airplanes (this doesn't impress women at all BTW).

PS, I took my first flying lessons in HS. I paid for them myself with money made from after school jobs. I have seen the amount of cash some people spend playing FltSim, you could easily start on your PPL for that much.

PSS, welcome aboard. I hope you will frequent this board in the future. There is a ton of good info about real world flying.

Wow how can those nerds who live in a fantasy world doubt MikeD!!
He posted up all of his information to verify!

I don't know what to say? . . . . They say he was born in 88? . . . .
They should just get back to their games and keep on pondering why girls don't like 'em.

It seems the website has a better welcoming than the forum's members.

Thanks to most people , I most likely won't be migrating here.

Almost seems like 'Flight Simmers' are an entirely different race despised by alot of people .

Mike

Even though you were right about the subject you really came off as a mad-man. I would understand if you were a member of the website for quite some time, but you joined the website and then attacked a member...

Once again you were right, & the fact that the person lied about his background is quite insulting, however, there was no reason to call him to the carpet the way you did.

Had it been on this website, you would have been totally correct to do so.

Sorry Mike, just my opinion on the matter, you are still my
Mo-Fo.

Should I feel welcome, coming to a topic with, well, what seems like everyone against 'us', Because we like to spend some of our time flying a virtual airplane, on a computer, Because we don't have the funds, or something else is stopping us doing it in the RW?

I'm not trying to sound angry or anything.

----

I was talking metaphorically, so yes, they are my words, its still the same principle, 'Flight Simmers are not welcome'.

I can't believe just because I and some others spend our time doing it, you think so little of us?

We would all rather fly in reality, But we just simply can't, At least we can still enjoy doing something remotely similar, even if it seems 'real pilots' laugh at us, One would think they would be even more understand.

Maybe 'when' I'm a real pilot, I won't be branded under 'Those Flight Sim Nerds' title.

This reminds me of the same situation I encountered a couple summers back. I was playing this shooting game online and met a bunch of people (online) that played it. One of them claimed he was Special Forces from Australia but lives in the US and randomly goes away on "missions" every now and then for a week at a time, he would even slip and act like he was in Jr. High. When I heard this I laughed so hard and told everyone how fake that story was and everyone got all mad at me for it. He tried to prove he really was by showing pictures online, something I could pull up from a yahoo search as well. Some people are just so gulible and can't think for themselves, guess all those little kids wanted to believe they knew someone that was in SF or somethin'. Made me upset that some kid wanted to impersonate a real hero that deserves respect, just to give himself a fake image. Guess these kinds of people just don't have much self respect and need to give themselves a fake idenity.
