| Agent Smith | Here's a song my pal Bob is going to sing at the DFW LEC base closing party next week: Base Closing Time (Sing to the tune of Semisonic’s 1998 hit, “Closing Time”) [ Guitar chords: G/// D/// Am/// C/// repeat until hit by flying beer bottle ] Base closing time Time to turn the lights off, and turn in your SIDA IDs Base closing time Time to check your mailbox, with enough paper to make a tree So gather up you your flight kits, and take them to the exits I hope you’ve found a crash pad that's near Base closing time You don't have to go home, but you can't fly here I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home.........anymore Base closing time Go down into the basement, and visit the old pilot lounge Base closing time Take yourself a souvenir, but there is not much left to scrounge So gather up your Jeppesons, with two years of past revisions Along with updates to your F.O.M. Base closing time Nearly 80 years of service, is all coming to an end I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home.........anymore Base closing time Should I move to Peach Tree City, or maybe to Lake Lanier Base closing time Salt Lake would be OK if it weren't for 3.2 beer LA is too expensive, and Cincinnati's boring New York is too freakin' cold Base closing time The commute to your city, is going to get real old I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home I don't know what place I will call home.........anymore Base closing time....................... |

| We have plenty of musicians already, apparently...we just need someone good with ProTools so we can all record our own parts and mail em in for mixing! We'd need a base track (that's base or click track, not "bass" track) for timing, tho. ![]() |

| Agent Smith | Bob's going to play guitar and I sing I presume. I never knew he played guitar but I think he's got it covered. I ought to go just to pay homage to my former base. So much better than my current base ![]() |

| No SLC for Doug, he's already addressed that. Seatlock (and 3.2 beer) issues. |

| My band covers that song. We'll cut you a version without the lyrics and you can get funky on the mic. |

| Old Skool | This is priceless, I emailed this to a Delta pilot that lives in DFW that is not working due to a medical. He has been moaning & groaning about the DFW Delta flight drying up, well this is sure to cheer him up a little... |

| Is DFW to be removed entirely from Delta schedules, or just only served served as an outpost? |

| Agent Smith | It's no longer a 'hub' city. So you'll only be able to fly between DFW and SLC/CVG/ATL. Should have at least put a mainline bird on the JFK flight to connect to Europe but Jerry never returns my phone calls. |

| Very true....Its out today with Jerry saying more cuts are needed but instead of blaming pilot salaries like he use to he is now saying its the fuel cost...Still not saying giving Leo and the crew all those millions didnt hurt |
