Initially, I was not a big fan of the A380, but as it gets closer to its first flight, I must say that it is growing on me. I must admit that it will be a success in its own right. Here are some cool pictures and the new and very amazing flight deck. ![]() Regards |

IMO, it looks better and better each time I see it. Can't wait for it to fly.

Ditto!!!!! I would have to compare it to children though. At birth, children don't look too great. As they start to age a little, that cuteness comes out. ![]() This plane doesn't look good until it's finished with a little paint. |

Wow that's a beautiful cockpit. Looks like there's tons of room to the outboard sides of the seats. In front of the sidesticks, are those LCD screens or pieces of paper clipped there? They look like LCDs, if they are, wow that's cool!

The roomiest cockpit must be the VC-10 - you get into your seat around the outside, and the cockpit eve has its own bathroom! |

The cockpit looks alot like that of an A320 or for that matter any other airbus product. I am sure it is bigger but it doesn't look it from that photo. To me that thing looks like a big plastic monster. I mean, I bet it will be fairly sucessful but I think the 787 will have a lot larger impression on the industry as there will be alot more of them. Only so many airlines will have a need for the 380 where nearly every airline can fly a 787.

Wow that A380 is getting better and better each time I see it, but I must say I am still more of a Boeing fan. Still like the look of the B747 more then the A380, but it's still a cool bird that I can't wait to see fly! |

[/ QUOTE ] Joking aside - what you do when you are PNF - take off your shoes, move your seat back, put our right ankle on your left knee (reverse for FOs) - this way you are all leaning back, and you can do your radio duties using your big toe to push the PTS!! |

But damn thats a hella nice looking airplane! -Matthew |
