| One of the most interesting articles I've read in a while was in an older article in Flight Journal. It was written by a Navy F-18 pilot who was on exchange with the Air Force flying F-16s. It was a comparison of the two airplanes, quite an interesting article. There were several pictures of the cockpits of each, and he offered detailed comparisons of the flying characteristics of each. His bottom line was: the F-16 was like a Dodge Viper, what he would drive for a cruise through town with maximum accelleration and power. The F-18 he compared to a "Lexus, with all the Gucci displays", and said the Hornet was his choice to take into war. |

| [ QUOTE ] . Does it matter which one's faster if they can't make the big boom over populated areas. just my2 [/ QUOTE ] Arguing about which one is better is about as productive as pissing in the wind. They're both POSs. One's an LGPOS, the other a BGPOS. |
