Here's a sample movie taken from the Magic of Flight IMAX featuring the Blue Angels. The slot guy is Scott "Snooze" Anderson. He's currently a UPS A300 f/o and probably one of the funniest guys I've had the pleasure to fly with. He's also a pretty good stick..uh, for a Navy pilot. ![]() Microsoft HD movies Scroll down to "The Magic of Flight (IMAX)" movie. It's 96megs and runs for about 2 mins. Scott is featured as the Slot pilot. |

[ QUOTE ] The Blues have a shoe string budget and work out of a mobile home and have to scrounge for parts where as the T-Birds have all the pomp and circumstance and shiny brass of the British elite with spit shine hangar floors and tailored suits. The Blues always put on a more impressive show IMHO! [/ QUOTE ] They're not mobile homes, but I've seen the Blues 50 year old hangers in Pensacola. They're serviceable, but not very pretty. The Blues budget is much smaller than the T-birds. The fly the cast off FA-18s that the fleet dosen't need or want. They do have absolute priorty when it comes to requestioning parts, but they are dead last when it comes to upgrades. (HMX-1 is the same way) |

The way the AF does it, with the squadron building completely separate from the hangar/maintenance operation, I'm not so much up with. |
