Default Sensationalist Journalism, Part II

The undercarriage of a PIA Boeing 777 caught fire at Manchester, UK. It's happened before to PIA's 777s, aparently, they used the wrong kind of grease.

There were no fatalities, only a few, minor injuries.

Here's the actual picture of the airplane evacuation, as reported by BBC:

this picture is from: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/m...er/4307511.stm

Fair enough. BBC is a great news source... much better than the ones we have here (Fox, CNN, and the likes).

Now, this picture is from yahoo.com.uk The picture is no longer there, because the article came out earlier today, and other news releases have moved this article further down the list.

Holy Cow!!! That thing is ENGULFED in flames. It's NOTHING like what really happened.

Score for Yahoo UK !!!

Yeah, but the "file footage" is a much more exciting picture.

Agree about BBC. Wish we could get it here. When I was flying London trips and had trouble sleeping I could turn on either a cricket game or BBC and it was lights out in no time.

Hey you know, maybe you get it on the Public Broadcasting Station like here in Florida.
