You put the freqs in the NAV radios.... You get the freqs from the Instrument Approach Procedures.

[ QUOTE ] For me to poop on! [/ QUOTE ] Completely unfair! If a JC'er asks a question about choosing a laptop, everybody is eager to help, even though there are hundreds of computer forums. If a JC'er makes a post about a new Halo game, everybody starts posting about how much they love it, and nobody complains. Yet, there are a thousand video game forums. If a JC'er posts a picture of a girl that can't say her ABC's, the world is a happy place. Yet, there are ton of sites with half-naked ladies. Now, a JC'er asks a question about a video game that's directly related to flying, and wants to know something that might help get him into a real airplane one day (it did for me. . . ), and we all want to say, "You suck, go away, we don't have time for such questions . . .".What sense does that make? ![]()

When looking at the map in FS2004, click (or double click, I can't remember) on the airport of your choice (whether it be destination or just local), and it will give you the frequencies for each airport. You can also visit airnav.com and go to the airport link and type in the airport name or identifier, and it has all the information about a particular airport, including RW frequencies, local VOR, NDB, etc. You can also download the approach plates in PDF format and print them off. The last option is to buy the approach plates (if you have the money). Hope that helps.

Yesh, but Lloyd didn't find it very funny! And for the record, I never said he couldn't/should't post here! Maybe the OP wasn't aware of the bounty of sites to feed his MSFS habit! And also, all the NACO approach charts are available here: http://www.naco.faa.gov/index.asp?xml=naco/online/d_tpp

Hello all! This is my first post, so be kind! I've pretty much figured out all there is on FS04, except for one nagging question. In Machado's book, he says "The GPS can not only take you direct to any waypoint, it can also let you select any course you want to that waypoint...let's say you want to track the 330 course to the waypoint...push the OBS button and rotate the HSI's OBS to 330..." For the life of me, I can't get my GPS/HSI to do this. I push OBS, rotate to track a given radial into the VOR (not direct), but nothing happens. (and yes, the cockpit switch is on "GPS," not "NAV") Any advice? I'm thinking perhaps this option wasn't programmed into the game. Thanks!
