Default zurich to seattle?

One of my 'relatives' is living in Zurich and wants to come to Seattle to see me. I would have to pay for the ticket. (ugh) Does anyone know any loopholes or ways to a cheap ticket for her? Is it cheaper to fly out of Zurich or Bern? Or is she better off taking a train or something to a more hub like airport? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I've flown into Zurich a few times...the main carrier there is Swiss. Not sure if they fly to Seattle or not. Your relative may have better luck taking the train to either Frankfurt or Munich as most big US carriers fly into them on a regular basis. That's probably the way I would go.

Hope it helps.

Check to see what US alliance partners Swiss has. Take advantage of the code shares. You can now fly to HNL on an SWA ticket thanks to code shares.....

definitely stay away from Bern though, as it is a small more regional airport. She'd probably end up having to go to Genf and then fly, or Zürich. The cheaper (tongue in cheek) prices are in Zürich.

Cool thanks. I didn't find as good of prices as she did. SHe said she found a round trip ticket from Zurich to SEA for 600 or 650. Just gotta help her with the ticket price is all.
