| I'm looking for a recommendation on what flight kit to get for an EMB-120. Also, how do others transport their laptops? Thanks. |

| Old Skool | This is how I carry my laptop. It's a pretty awesome bag! I was real tired of carrying my computer bag seperately... It's super easy to flow through with Security, since the computer pocket is very accessible, and allows quick and easy removal of the laptop. Plenty of pockets for accessories as well. | Unfortunatly the pocket in that bag for the computer is only 13" long, and my computer is 15". Is there room in that bag for the computer to stick out of it's pocket a couple inches? |

| Yikes...another purdy neat bag to get confused with the rest of them sitting in crew rooms across America. Most people carry their laptops in bags...clipping the bag to the rest of your gear is optional yet recommended. I use a $50 Samsonite flight kit...it fits in the CRJ so I would imagine it would fit in anything with a normally cramped regional aircraft cockpit... Don't get anything with wheels because people will make fun of you...people back in the day had to carry their suitcase AND their flight bag...and this was when laptops were the size OF a suitcase. Anyone remember those days? I have to hear all about them from the mainline people here... ![]() |

The laptop compartment is right under there. Have you had any problems? |

| Old Skool | No problems at all... the bag has taken quite a beating... but I'm usually in control/posession of it. If I ever have to gate check it while deadheading/commuting, I just remove my laptop on the jetway and carry it on... after a having done a couple hundred walkarounds I'm sure most FO's understand how badly baggage is handled! ![]() There is plenty of sufficient padding all around. No issues with my flight case banging on it. And with two full 3" jep binders, a 1" binder, our CFM, FOM, headset, etc... It feels like I have one of the heaviest flight kits around! ![]() Which by the way, I carry this one here... don't know how that one will fit in the 120, but it fits just about perfect in the 145. As far as a 15" fitting, shouldn't be a problem... it has a velcro retension strap that would allow you to secure a longer laptop. Stop by one of the Stopover Stores to try it out. When I was carrying a seperate laptop bag, I felt that it was getting banged around a lot more... and I hated having an extra bag altogether to carry around. Your mileage may vary... but it works for me. Bob |

| Senior Member | I carry around 3 bags on my trips... my overnight bag (tall purdy neat bag), flight kit, and lap top carrying case. I stack the lap top on the top of the overnight bag resting against the "tow handle." I have had a few dumb@$$ moments where I've stood my overnight bag up and my laptop went sailing off the top. DOH! |
