Well it has been a week since I started Legacy training. It has been a blast so far. The instructor is a great guy with what must be a million hours (I am being sarcastic) of flight time and the other pilots/students are all really cool guys. The days are REALLY long and there is alot of information to digest such as IC-600's, DAU's, FADEC, GCU's and a whole lot of other letters and numbers but overall I am really liking this bird. It does everything for me except make the coffee. One more week of class room studies and then into the sim. I can't wait to hit the line and fly this jungle jet around. It has been a long road to get here with LOTS of NETWORKING, NETWORKING, and NETWORKING but it can be done. I am the youngest in my class at 25 years old but I give the old guys a run for their money. DON'T PFT is my biggest recommendation as that makes you a putz in alot of important people's minds (my opinion as well as my chief pilots), and just work your tail off. Someone is always watching, trust me. Anyhow, enough of my ranting and raving...good luck to all.

Ahh.. ok. Thank you! So it is referring to the "Store bought in a box" training! Yeah, that sucks. It is like my instructor is trying to beat into my head, "Fly by the seat of your pants!"

I dont think you got it...Do a search for PFT and youll find more then enough.Long story short, You pay thousands to pay for a job that would normally be occupied by someone receiving a paycheck.

I have to say that the airplane is really easy. Sometimes you just have to think to yourself why the EICAS says what it says, for instance, when the fire bottle is low/used the EICAS says that FIRE BTL INOP which could lead someone to believe that the fire bottle did not activate...all it is saying is that after it deployed it is now inop. The Brazilians had a different approach to it I guess because the CRJ/Challenger would say FIRE BTL LOW after its use which made more sense to me. Otherwise, I like the jet. Seems really easy to fly and operate as long as your thinking about what is running and what is not, especially on the ground and making sure that the R Pack is getting APU crossbleed so there is AC in the back for the pax and FA. The electrical system is a snap as it is DC electric and just a static inverter for the AC which only powers the EGWPS and TCAS. Make sure the shed bus is on when you get in for the FA to start making you some coffee. All in all I am loving it. Thanks everyone for helping out and good luck to everyone. Keep at it.
