| Senior Member | We all here have a certain passion for flying. It's in our . For most of us it's the only thing we can imagine doing with our lives. Flying is enjoyable, rewarding, and inspiring. But it's also dangerous. It is very easy to get caught up in the fun of it so much that we let our guard down. Complacency and the "been there done that" attitude sets in. Boldness and overconfidence pushes our mortality aside. As a result bad things happen, people die, lives are forever changed. Some friends of mine were forever scarred yesterday by aviation. Please read the following article with quiet reflection and reverence: http://www.adn.com/front/story/6140356p-6022487c.html If you are a Believer, pray for this family. Please, be careful out there. This is a potentially dangerous industry. |

| It is hard to imagine a more beautiful family than the Davis family. I had the pleasure of working out in Port Alsworth this summer and while I did not know them well, I did know them and their kids. I saw them all the time picking up groceries and whatnot from the hanger, and we also handled all their guests. It is hard for me to imagine, heck, to even begin to imagine what's going on in their heads right now, but I know that there's an awesome community around them and that will continue to be around them for as long as they're there. Let me echo Chris and say that yes, if you are a believer please pray. Heck, if you're not a believer please pray. And be careful out there. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 |
