I'm an aopa member... but I think it's funny how they like to take credit for everything positive that happens; here's a recent example: "No new user fees, GA programs funded AOPA successfully defends GA priorities in FAA budget" So thanks to AOPA's defense against ____ (?) we don't have user fees next year, just like we haven't had user fees since the inception of the FAA. Huge victory for AOPA! |

Well I guess any grass-roots lobbying group is going to blow it's own horn a little bit. But new user fees get proposed about every year and AOPA is up there fighting them, so let them pat themselves on the back. |

It's not like anybody else is rising in defense of GA, so yeah, AOPA gets the credit. Seriously, I don't think people realize what a lobbying operation AOPA has in place. It's really quite impressive. |
