Let me use this time to sincerely give thanks ... ... for 1)being able to sleep in, 2)not having to prepare the feast, and 3)NFL -- need I say more??? On a serious note though, Mr. and Mrs. Windchill, and "Windchill II-to be" would like to extend a 'Happy Holidays' to the Jetcareers community. May your festivities run smoothly and cheerfully. |

Happy T-Day everyone from John Herreshoff and I! It snowed here last night, looks like 2" down with some freezing rain and ice under it so it should be an interesting drive to the relatives! hope you all have safe travels! |

Thanks bro! The Thanksgiving trip this year was a long Birmingham layover on TUE, a short Austin layover last night, today we're headed up to Portland, ME for a short layover and then I get to go home on friday. In my family, Thanksgiving is a much bigger event than Xmas and it never gets any easier, at least for me. Flying lots of people home to see their families, having to purse my lips and keep my mouth shut when people say "Hey! Chin up! Doesn't your company go all out and get you guys a nice spread down in the pilot lounge?" and all that jazz. Note to the traveling public: Most airlines don't do JACK for their employees during the holidays, which is fine, but when you're asked about 30 times in a 15 minute deplaning routine, it gets to you after a while. I dunno, I miss my (late) dad, miss my mom, miss my wife (who's down in Orlando, but flew Continental, can u believe that? ), miss my brothers, my sister, hell, I even miss Arizona -- and I certainly miss being at home instead of sitting in a quiet corner of the pilot lounge waiting for my next jet to arrive. But I'll have a whopping 10 hours at the old Holiday Inn in Portland, ME to putz around I guess. It's hard not to get a little doe eyed and 'sensitive' while you're working the holidays because you'd rather be hanging out with friends and family. But I've got it a lot better than CE650CPT and a few hundred thousand others getting shot at in the dirt protecting our freedom. |

[/ QUOTE ] There are few of us that don't have it better than C650. While I may be working tonight at least I will be able to see my family in the morning. With that being said, there are still many that are not able to be at home for whatever reason. For Doug and those of you that are laying over or can't be home for whatever reason Happy Thanksgiving from your family at JC. You Guys & Gals rock . I know it may be cliched, but maybe you can take some pleasure in knowing that because of the jobs you are doing, others are able to get home. And Doug Thanks Once again for JC. It is keeping me awake in my (deep fried) turkey induced coma. |

Mmmm... Fried turkey. I had fried turkey last year on a lucky long layover in TPA where my brother-in-law and sister-in-law live. Mega yummy. Great, now I'm starving! |
