You'll see "follow me" cars quite a bit on busy FBO ramps, such as Signature at IAD. They'll pull up to the entrance of the ramp as you're taxiing in, and you follow them to where they want you to park.

Airport diagrams are available in published charts, through services such as Jeppessen, I have downloaded & printed basic ones off of AOPA's website, and if you have very good eyesight you can use the ones in the AFD (very small print). As for onboard printers, I think you're thinking of the ACARS printers. Those are used to print the ATIS, crew reroutes, messages from dispatch, etc. These are not on every airplane. |

We had the on-board printer in the Saab. It would be way too small for an airport diagram. It was only for text... ATIS, clearance, dispatch messages, etc.

Seriously tho Bri you come along way on this site taken a lot of crap and handled it gracefully. I think that you might have "arrived". Your post as of late seem more mature and more informed and less like a sim pilot. You might be qualified to give advice on here and not be laughed at. Matthew |
