[/ QUOTE ] Actually I know it would. My records say I am doing correspondance study here at UND this semester. But on the other hand, what airline is going to call and ask to see your records. I am sure its been done, but it isn't very likely to happen. |

| It's a two-fold answer. Would your degree be any different? No, not at all. Will your transcript say that you took correspondence courses? It would probably depend on your school. My transcripts don't say whether I went to class during the week or did a telecourse. I've taken telecourses, correspondence courses, etc. On the transcript, it just says "European Lit" or "Geography of Southwest Asia". I never set foot into the classroom in the Lit class, and watched videos and took web-based exams for the Geog class. So, in a nutshell, nobody's going to know. Now, if you get your degree from UVSC and you've lived in Maryland for your whole life...well, nobody is an idiot..... |

| my transcripts don't say anything about all the online courses I took...looks the same as all the other courses. The only way anyone would know is if I told them. UND may do things different. |

| my transcripts don't say anything about my classes being online and my diploma doesn't say anything about it either. Do whatever works best for you. Some people prefer online classes, others don't. |

| Yeah, my transcripts show denotes the classes I am taking via correspondance with a C in front. I don't care where I did them, I'll still get the same degree. And I'll probably do more work on these classes anyone than I would if I were taking them the traditional way. |

Alot of people think Internet/video courses are all fun and games. Anybody that has taken them knows otherwise. |

| Old Skool | I doubt it would make any difference. I'm taking Riddle classes online, and the diplomas look exactly the same as the residential diplomas. As far as transcripts, it probably depends on the college. When I interviewed for SWA, they wanted a copy of your diploma if you went to college, and they wanted a copy of your HS diploma. I had my transcripts from HS since I was in the middle of getting accepted to ERAU, but I wasn't sure where my actual diploma was. SWA wouldn't take the transcript, they wanted the diploma. Bottom line is, you did the work, you passed the class, and the college is accredited. If an airline turns me down b/c they feel I didn't work as hard in school as some guy who went to a residental campus, I'd rather not work there. I think it's actuallly HARDER to do classes on-line. At least when I was on campus at MSU, there were teachers and other students to help me out. |

| Just make sure that it's an accredited school and not a diploma mill. |
