Default Phraseology

Another good Don Brown article on AVWeb:

Say Again? #41: ATC 105 -- Phraseology

In the article he also references an Aviation Safety Reporting System aritcle with lots of examples of what bad phraseology can do:
ASRS Directline; Non-Standard Phraseology Incidents by Robert Machette

Both good reads.

This is a point that can't be emphasized enough. I've commiserated with Don about this issue over the years. The trend seems to be in the wrong direction just when ATC traffic is getting heavier.

Precise and concise. Please.
