| [ QUOTE ] Where I train (Niagara Air Tours) they have headsets in all of their planes so you don't have to pay to rent them or even worry about taking them out to the plane I like that. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, but then you have to wear headsets that a million and one sweaty tourists have been wearing. If one is going to invest lots of cash in a pilot's certificate, they should also invest in a headset. Now if we are talking about taking up pax who don't have headsets, then I can understand renting. Even then though you can get a cheap headset for around $125 and it will take care of your passenger(s) and act as a back up in case you need it. |

| Old Skool | Before I bought my own, I was never charged to use the ones at the FBO I trained w/ -- Aero-Smith, KMRB. They haven't charged me when I ask for pax either. I don't think it's wrong to charge a small fee, per day/flight, but I'm glad they didn't/don't. |

| I usually don't get charged the $3 fee when I bring pax who need a headset, but it depends who's running the register at the FBO. $3 seems like about the cheapest thing I've come across in avaition, so what's the complaining for? |
