Sorry, the asterisk before the two should have been a carot. It is height in inches squared. Correctly written it is 20.4:

(150 x 705) / (72)^2 = 20.4

Not sure why I put the * instead of the ^ though! Thanks!

The BMI is a crock. You could take a ripped football player who is say, 5'10" and 220 lbs without an ounce of fat on him, and it would say he is overweight.

OMG, this thread added 3 pages overnight. I am also kinda sorry I brought up the whole BMI scale. I guess it's my medical training making me do it.
But getting back to the real item of discussion. I feel that if you are large enough to encrouch into another's seat you need to pay for another seat. If the flight is not full then it is up to the airline to refund the money.
