American wings is the only school I know of there. City is suffering so I figured the training would be as well |

| Re: Flint, MI I went to college in Flint. Nothing like living in the ghetto of Flint for 5 years! I've never flown out of Flint-Bishop Airport. Never knew they had much flight training going on. |

Traverse City was awesome in the fall and spring. Saginaw/Bay City, and Mackinaw City were great in the winter or fall. Plus the UP in the winter if you liked to hunt, fish, and camp. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] The burbs' of Deeeeetroit (where I was) were also really nice. A mix of new developing cities like Troy, combined with old-town feel like Birmingham. I don't remember the publication ... maybe Fortune Magazine .... rated Flint the worst place to live in the US several years ago. High crime and even higher unemployment after the GM plant which employed most of the city shut down. |

He was originally all about showing what big buisnesses can do to places when they decide to leave. Once people started paying attention that's when he got more into the political stuff. They would be on their front porch in the morning when we went to class with a 40 of malt liquor....and they would be there in the afternoon when we came home. If nothing else it makes pretty much anyplace you live after school seem REALLLLY nice! |
