Boy, I really hope the 7E7 succeeds. If you can make a plane better than what Boeing is saying that the 7E7 is suppose to be, then good for you. Josh |

The A380 and A350 at the same time. Boeing is in trouble if it doesn't reply faster than it is doing.

[ QUOTE ] The A380 and A350 at the same time. Boeing is in trouble if it doesn't reply faster than it is doing. [/ QUOTE ] Seems like Airbus is trying to respond to Boeing in the same way that Boeing responded to the A-320. Throw some new wings and gadgets on an existing airframe. |

[ QUOTE ] The A380 and A350 at the same time. Boeing is in trouble if it doesn't reply faster than it is doing. [/ QUOTE ] Brian, how many orders does Boeing have for the 7E7? Look it up. And then tell me if they are doomed. Also, I'm sure you know that Boeing gets a significant amount of its revenue from the military and space exploration, right? |

62 on record and 10 to 15 pending with Vietnam Airlines. Boeing has said on a few occassions that they could have up to 200 on the books by year's end. JR |

[ QUOTE ] The A380 and A350 at the same time. Boeing is in trouble if it doesn't reply faster than it is doing. [/ QUOTE ] Hmmm. How many deliveries of ANY of these planes have been made? This is the kind of statement in and of itself that degrades the threads into Boeing vs Airbus wars. IMO, Airbus might be taking on too much at once. The A380 isn't even a proven airframe yet, and they had to do some wheeling and dealing just to get enough orders to justify production. Now they come out with ANOTHER airframe before they even start delivering the A380s. With the industry in the state it is, I'm not sure if this is a sound business move. But, when you got government money backing you...... |

Hey they gonna have waterfalls in the A350? Hey you know what would be a great idea! Have an Airbus plane specifically configured to be a shopping mall. People pay money to shop around at FL390. Boy I hope that stupid POS french whale crashes and burns. |

[ QUOTE ] Yeah, no need to worry about the tens of thousands of people that will be jobless or the hit the economy would take.... [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I doubt the British/French/German/Spanish governments would let that happen. They'll just give them another multi-million dollar loan and "forgive" it a few years later. |

[ QUOTE ] Boy I hope that stupid POS french whale crashes and burns. [/ QUOTE ] Do you have experience flying an Airbus, or are you just stating an opinion that someone else has given you? Based on your profile, I'd assume the latter. |

Airbus needs 250 orders on the A380 just to break even, and then they talk about starting production on another plane before they even finish the first one? Hmm... that kinda stems beyond my comprehension, but I think that Boeing should stick with its 7E7 with all the trouble they have been having with layoffs and stuff, and just stick to their guns. It is not like Boeing or any other aerospace companies do not get government money.

[ QUOTE ] I've got the same amount of time in one that you have buddy. [/ QUOTE ] That comment just shows me that you completely missed the intent of what I was saying. I'm not trying to turn this into a pissing match about who has time in what sort of aircraft. You're right...I have no Airbus time, and won't for a considerable amount of time. However, due to that, I admit that I'm not qualified to give a strong opinion on the aircraft one way or another. |

The whole "based on your profile" comment was a good indication that that's what you were aiming for.
