I really enjoy swimming but a have a phobia about the idea of being in deep waters. Anything deeper than a 12feet pool.

Brian, just think of it this way. No matter how much water there is below you, you're on TOP of all of it. If you're worried about drowning, people have drowned in three feet of water! So it really doesn't matter how much or how little water is below you. You stay on top of it.

I used to spend summers teaching people how to swim and lifeguarding, and I know exactly what you're going through. A lot of people had the same fear and it was my job to help them overcome it.

Give me a couple of hours with you and you won't fear deep water anymore.

Try "hanging" right next to a wall of an underwater canyon, where the bottom is a deep dark 1000 feet below you. 12 foot pool? Hah. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img][img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
