For all you airline pilots, what's the nicest hotel that you were lucky to stay in on your layover? Provide description of interior, location, and amenities I know this is a stupid question, but just curious!

The Qantas and BA folks flying into Singapore got to stay at the same hotel I did. It's a nice hotel. Oh, and by the way, no rollaboards only for them. They got to check a large suitcase as well. |

[ QUOTE ] FalconCapt That looks sweet! I wonder how much it cost to stay there? $$$ [/ QUOTE ] When I was there last fall I paid $340.65 USD per night... I think that was our Corporate rate... retail was something like $449.00 USD/night... Of course all of our dinners there were right at $100 per person/per night... My expense report for the entire 12 day trip was right around $6,000... So it is all relative... |

I'm building a airline employee travel website and the reservations engine that I'm integrating with it shows a rate of $205 USD with: 50usd Spa Credit Per Stay. Continental - Breakfast For 2 Daily. 4pm Late Check Out. - Executive Deluxe Room: Butler Service: Cd/Dvd - Stereo: Separate Shower/Bath: Highspeed Not bad for an international hotel! |

I don't know how to post pictures, but the JW Marriott Ihilani Resort and Spa is the best place to stay on oahu, it's away from the craziness of Waikiki. We stayed in a junior suite, it was so awsome!

[ QUOTE ] Wow, I can only come within about $15 of that rate. But good for them as using a third party to book a hotel room largely stinks. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, must be pushing it for "tourist season"... LOL! It is a great hotel, the restaurants are outstanding too! |

Do they really have hotels with hourly rates? Im not an airline pilot or anything, but Our Lucaya in Freeport is nice, particularly the Light-house pointe section. I think it has since been bought by the best western or the like. |

Oh man, the Lucaya rocks! We stayed there when we had a port visit to Freeport. Only a couple of us at least. The rest just hung around like they were guests. Great water slides. There are a couple good bars right across the street and a good restraunt. We flew from the ship, which was mored jusy outside the port, to FLL to pick up the mail and cargo.
