If we apply a spelling error from a recently frozen thread, it would come out Tarts Standing Around!

They Smell Alcohol

Even though it's not part of the acronym, I like to call the "Shift Change" employee bus "A Bus Full Of My Wasted Tax Dollars". I actually said that outloud to some TSA folks after the bus filled up with them and left me standing at the curb for another 20 minutes.

I was riding the terminal train a few weeks ago to the baggage claim area in ATL and about six TSA'ers get on the train at the T-concourse, but one is still standing in the doorway.

The train kept saying 'Someone is blocking the door...someone is blocking the door.' People were patiently waiting for doofus to clue in and get out of the doorway.

The gentleman standing next to one of the TSA guys said "Hey, you're blocking the door!" The TSA guy returns a blank stare and about 30 seconds later, approximately fifteen of his coworkers boarded.

Fantastic!

One of the reasons I had my wife start dropping me off at MCO instead of using the parking lot. Nevermind the fact that not taking that bus from the boondocks saved me 5-10 minutes and $30/mo.

The best part is...I don't know where they go when they get to the terminal. There are 20 of them on the bus, but when I get to the checkpoint (most of the time after stopping for food or gum or something) there are only about 8 there and they can only run one lane. It still takes a long time to clear security. Apparently, it takes a minimum of 15 to open 2 lanes.

Gotta love this whole program. God knows I feel a lot safer.

I just wish they would figure out what they want to do with airport employees. For a while, it was changing every day. For a while we had our own lane, then they had us going through the selectee lane, then they had us back in with the masses. I think now they take pleasure by putting us in our "own lane" then sending people with eight kids and four strollers or skycaps with three people in wheelchairs to dart in front of us.
