Default \"Thunder Mustang,\" anyone?

Anyone know about these aircraft? They look insane, but I imagine there are definitely some drawbacks. Can you say, "torque roll?"

First, you have to build one yourself.

Second, if I recall corectly the best glide speed was something like 120kts.

Third, stall speed was in the 80 kts range.

My pipe dream airplane is the two seat Lanciar Turboprop, that thing is SICK!

I think these are significantly smaller than the actual P-51, aren't they? I've seen some at airshows, and they look pretty cool. Something with that much performance, I think I would be a little wary of building it myself. You should see some of the furniture I've put together.

Wow, I saw one of those at Sun-n-Fun, but had no clue that it had 600+hp! Here is a link to Thunder Mustang for those of you who are interested in seeing what this post is about. Check out the video of the climb-out and the aerobatics. Being a fan of the Van's series of aircraft I also like the Team Rocket Aircraft. Here is a very nice example of an F-1 Rocket homebuilt. This is perhaps the coolest experimental I've seen yet.
