Default AirNet DE?

Does anyone have the info for the guy that is a DE out in LCK? How much does he charge for an ATP?

Anyone every used him? Don't think I will hang around to get typed and other jobs want an ATP.

Not sure if you get it or not, but JC is not the place to post questions like that for Airnet. Call the ACP office and ask them.

Yeah, don't post anything like that online...geez.

Are you wanting to do your ATP on a company checkride, is that what you're asking about (if so, I didn't realize we could) or are you just asking about a DPE in the LCK/CMH area that can do ATP checkrides?

If it's the latter, there are quite a few.

You can get your ATP on the Lear PIC ride.

What he's talking about is a Airnet guy who will do your ATP ride on your off time on your own dime.

I am sure there are numerous examiners in the CMH area but I was looking for the specific one that is a pilot for us. I heard through the grapevine that there is such a person.

I don't think a regular examiner that does not know our company and our profiles would enjoy how we fly and therefore be unhappy with the performance of a candidate for an ATP, ie. loss of money on my part due to a pink slip.

Begs the question doesn't it - what is there in the way that you guys fly and your profiles that an unfamiliar DPE might not like?

I don't know. I don't think there are any. I'd be perfectly comfortable taking an ATP ride with a DE unfamiliar with Airnet profiles. Our profiles are FAA approved and I don't see how anything we do is outside the PTS.

That person no longer works for Airnet.
If you don't think the FAA would approve of your profiles, why are you flying there?

I would not be opposed to flying with any DE, don't get me wrong, I know my abilities as a pilot are above ATP standards but I have heard criticism about the way we fly mainly in regards to not being configured at the marker and the speed at which we do checklists. I know these are tiny things and could easily be changed for a checkride without any thought at all.

Obviously we do these things this way in the props so that we can expedite our arrival and keep with the flow of traffic at busy airports or with the random starcheck lear that is behind us at the time but I have heard criticism.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the info.

I fly the profiles as given to me by AirNet.

Nothing in the PTS says anything about being fully configured on Vref at the marker.

The FAA (well, actually the POI) as approved them.

You'd be fine.

My thoughts are you should stop depending on Starcheck55 for your information.

How do you figure I get my information from starcheck55? Yes I have looked at it and do find it amusing but I take it for what it is, mostly bs. I have heard about configuration and checklist issues from pilots that are previous airnet pilots that I see in passing from time to time not starcheck55. Was there a section about this? Maybe in that super sneaky section that I never received access to, if so please provide information about it.

I hope that no one depends on starcheck55 for any truely reliable information regarding our company because I know that I do not.

Hey - maybe we all just got off on the wrong foot with you. Where are you from? Where are you based? How long have you been with the company? Tell us a little about yourself!

And if no one has said it yet - welcome to JC!
