Default Empire or Mountain Air Cargo

Does anyone on this thread have any info on Empire Airlines or Mountain Air Cargo? Both airlines have been posting on Climbto350 and I am considering applying.. Getting ATR time is valuable for international gigs were they actually pay money for pilots...

Between the two, I've consistently heard better things about MAC. At the time I was looking at the feeders, Empire was going through some pretty bad times w/r/t employee/management relations. That was about a year and a half ago, so it may have improved since. Everything I've heard indicates that the jobs, especially on the 135/Caravan side are pretty easy, and most guys I've spoken to have seemed reasonably happy. I don't know anything about the ATR, as I wasn't looking at the 121 side. I've more recently read, however, that all the feeder pilots are starting to get a little unhappy with the pay, as it hasn't gone up much for a long time. Good luck.

PS. Agreed on the ATR thing. If they're taking street captains in six months I'll be the one asking for info. LOT of ads for ATR-typed pilots on 350.

I was just looking at MAC's web page yesterday and am planning on kicking off a resume. Anyone know if they have any jumpseat agreements?

I think MAC is the way to go for ATR time. We just have to make sure that Texasflyer isn't recruiting for any of these places abroad.. Cause he only hires the top 10% in the industry and doesn't like 135 guys cause apparently were to reckless! Anyway I'll keep you posted if I get any more info..
