Was it the 281 flight? Because if it is dispatch is really really missing me on that. They have had nothing but trouble since I've left. And what happend? PM me if you can't say on the board.

Nope. 281 Canceled Tuesday for mx. Monday and Wednesday were as routine as moving 1800 pounds of crap from one plane to another can be. As for the plane in BHM, I don't remember the number, but it looked like it was on the ramp and got knocked over (weather?). Definitely doesn't look like the typical results from a wingtip strike on takeoff or landing. Nor hangar rash. Just hoping everyone's okay. -mini

BOO-YAH! I know the guy that had just flown that one . Landed as a line of weather was hitting the airport. Unloaded the freight. Brakes set. Choked on one of the mains. Straight line winds picked it up, turned it on the side and came to rest about 50 feet backward rotated 260 degrees. Took one of the chieftans and pushed it around and a Bell Ranger got thrown out into the grass. That was the night the tornadoes hit ATL, this was the second line of storms that came through the area. More of an electrical/wind storm than anything. The lightning was so constant I put my sunglasses on for most of the trip HKS-BHM. Got the wing tip, will just have to replace the damaged section and the prop got hit so a hot section teardown. Other than that the plane is fine.

The trick is to tell Dispatch and MX to shove it if they ask you to change planes with that much weight in the back. I told them if they want to help me they can otherwise I'll do it the next day.

| Old Skool | Woo hoo! Now that I'm a floater I'll have to remember that. What do floaters complain about? Last I heard they wanted to be paid for handbook holidays if the holiday fell on their 6 off? |
