| Freight Dawgs, Can someone please verify or debunk what I heard from a head flight instructor at a 141 school? He told me that if you work for Fedex (i.e.- loading boxes or whatever), that after 6 months of employment that they will provide 3k per year towards your flight training. Anyone know anything about this? Thanks, Dan |

| They will assist with any rating OTHER than your Private. And when I was there, they were actually allowing $3500 per year, but I think they did lower that back down to $3k. I left back in '05, so it could be different today though.

| Thanks for the input! I guess it's worth it to load boxes for a few years. |

| I will be working there again soon as a courier. I had heard something like that when I was at FedEx the first time. Do you know how to go about getting this funding? |

| I assume you would go through Human Resources or the benefits department. If I find out anything I will forward it to you. Or if you find out anything before me, please let me know. |

| It goes through their tuition reimbursement program. You will need to submit to your manager a copy of your training syllabus, rating achieved, and the costs you incurred. They will then reimbuse you up to the maximum amount allowed.

| Yes, unfortunately you have to choose between the flight training or the college tuition for reimbursement. That's the reason that it never benefited me personally. I used it for college expenses.
