I agree. I was shocked to see the different rules for different 135 operators (scheduled v. un-).

Maybe they meant 6/1 for 30 days instead of the 5/2 then 4/3 for 6 or so weeks....

Not sure.

Do you guys think they'll hire me directly into the left seat of the Lear? I'd love to fly freight, but not willing to fly anything non-pressurized, and non-turbojet.

Thats how it should be. I'm sure there are plenty of people at airnet that are qualified or close to qualified to be lear captains. I wish that my company would take notes.

The day Airnet starts hiring directly into the jet is the day I leave.
We have PLENTY of qualified pilots for the lear. No prop pilots.

I agree. That isn't the "deal". Contract be damned, someone starts in the lear I'm out the door with you.

What do you mean by being an a$$?

The act of telling the company on the phone what you told them - (and in effect telling them "no" because you already have a job)?

-or-

Did you mean you would be that much of an a$$ by actually taking a lear job if offered, and in the process jump ahead of many, many pilots who are qualified for the job who already have a seniority number?

I think Lloyd was talking about #2, and I think you mean #1, but people are going to read it wrong, assume #2, and get on your case.
