Default Airnet

I got a call from Airnet today. I called them back and had to leave a message. What is the phone interview like? What questions may they ask?

Thanks

Mostly HR stuff on the phone. Willing to relocate, maybe a few questions about your logbook times. A few IFR questions about what to do if you only have the approach lights in sight on an ILS, maybe alternate requirements. A few questions about your most current ME airplane, explain some of the VMC factors, or describe the landing gear. If you are current on your IFR stuff and multiengine concepts you should have no difficulty. Let us know how it goes!

If you haven't already checked it out...the interview threads on here should have some info now. Also, www.aviationinterviews.com is always a great read. It has EVERYTHING in there on Airnet...

Don't worry about age there. Everybody'll just think you are a Lear guy!! I was 34 when I left (all props), so no it's not too late for you. Yes, there are mostly young guys/gals there, but no reason to worry. As far as 40, there are quite a few lear guys that are older than you. The #1 seniority guy has been there for 25+ years.

Not to thread hijack-- but I figure this is a good place to ask Airnet Q's.

I noticed on the website that Airnet hires part time pilots? Anyone have any input on that?

Is Airnet really hiring pilots with low time? ex: 300 tt?

...and I see that commuting in not ''recommended'' but do people do it?

Thanks,
GTLyon

I checked in on this. Craig Washka told me that they are looking for guys with 135/121 time for these part-time positions. Thats really what I'm looking for. I don't know what they consider part-time. Going to call and find out today. I will let you know. I don't know if there hiring that low of total time.

How often will they need to do that? Is this completely separate from 431?

There are a total of three releases (like every city) that need to go from MKE - MDW. 431 covers the first. 243 used to cover the later two. There may be some more in the early morning that we charter out but I'm not sure. Problem i'm told is it wasn't cost effective to bring a baron up from CPS empty to MKE. I hold the opinion that once I left they realized the efficiency of the run would probably dropped off and it would be best just to cancel it.

But where will they find another such effectively run route to put SIC's on? RIP 243.

Cleared ILS 7R, Circle to land 1R, Keep your speed up, flawless touchdown on the numbers.

If you're talking about Ben I, he was my classmate, and outbid me for the ORL run over a year ago, then went charter in S FL. Last time I talked to him, he was still doing charter (Lear 55, I believe), in Ft Lauderdale.

He seems fairly happy with it, and was working on the upgrade a couple months ago.

We were empty going MKC - CAK. A quick overnight in CAK, then ended up in MIA. I now sit in lovely Jackson, TN. A lovely place! Always an adventure...

Yeah, I got to talk to Ryan (sp?) and the always lovely Wendy! That woman is still trying to put me to work...go figure.

What were you doing up that early? What run are you on now?
