| I am almost at 135 min.s and I was wondering if I could ask you guys a couple questions. 1. How many hours do you normally accrue in a year working the typical twin prop freight jobs? I know it varies based on route, company, etc., but I was just looking for a ballpark. 2. I know that you will typically accrue hours faster at freight companies that at a regional. Do turbine freight pilots get hired up by the majors, or do you need to do regionals for a while first? 3. It probably depends on the company, but I was looking at airnet's site. It said their pilots work 4 days a week. Are they able to give you routes for 6-7 days a week if you want them? 4. Do you get depressed about forgetting what daylight looks like? |

| 1. Anywhere from 200-1200 a year, average probably 800-1100 or so. It depends on a lot, as you said. 2. I don't think you'd get hours faster at a freight company, but you typically will get more PIC time and PIC turbine faster (YMMV). Airnet's had many pilots go straight to majors (I can think of guys who went to Southwest and UPS off the top of my head and I've met a few at Northwest when I was jumpseating). 3. At Airnet 5 day runs are the most I know of, you need a break sometime man! 4. That big orb of fire is scary and, as Adam Sandler said, The night time is the right time.

| Oh yeah, I forgot one other question... 5. It seems like you would have to change domiciles frequently (especially when starting out and working your way up the ranks). Do you guys manage to get apartments without leases? Those are sometimes hard to come by. |

| I found an apartment with a six month lease and I'm planning my next move when the lease is up. |

| 3-6 month leases are pretty easy to come by, and crashpads or rented rooms (if you're single) typically don't have any requirement

1.) I flew 950hours last year working generally mon-thurs 2.) You don't need to go to the regionals but many choose too. Turbine PIC time is what its all about to get to the majors and you can get to that quicker, generally speaking, than going to a regional. 3.) I dunno about airnet but I'm sure you could find a place to let you work more...but why would you want too? 4.) My company had varied runs. The first half of the year I flew nights because I liked the schedule and the second half of the year I switched to an all day run. | |

| Tuesday right! I hope dispatch told me the right thing. I just assumed you do three weeks TDY that it qualifies for System TDY..A big mistake. Thanx for the offer. I'll see how it goes |

| I dont fly freight anymore but when I did I spent many many flight hours in daylight. Freight jobs doing UPS feed (taking cargo to/from the UPS hubs) is conducted in the early AM and also the late afternoon/evening. If I was in an airplane later than 8:45 PM, then I was definitely LATE!!! I loved all the night flying I did but in the summer months would not log any night time at ALL... Ieven ran out of night currency once! |
